NEW YORK – Pace University’s Ewers’ Center for the Arts and Multicultural Studies will present an after-work musical series, the Julie Wilson’s Art of Cabaret, featuring Anna Bergman, at 6:00 p.m., Monday, Dec. 17 at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts.
A longtime legend in Gotham cabaret, Wilson has headlined in virtually every top supper club and cabaret room in the United States. She has starred on and off Broadway and in London’s West End. Wilson has appeared in films and televisions and has four record albums. She was highlighted in “Cabaret Comes to Carnegie Hall” and has performed at Rainbow and Stars, the Russian Tea Room and Café Carlye.
Wilson has become a tutor and advisor to scores of young cabaret artists. The Julie Wilson’s Art of Cabaret features performers in a new venue designed to replicate an intimate supper club. On December 17th, Anna Bergman will take her audience on a musical voyage through fascinating and exciting locales. Anna has performed her concert-cabaret Souvenir to enthusiastic audiences and reviews in New York at Danny’s Skylight Room, The Firebird Café and Arci’s Place. In concert, Anna performed at the White House and a star studded gala in London celebrating the 80th Anniversary of The Theatre Guild. She starred in Carnegie Hall’s centennial tribute to Ira Gershwin, the 75th Anniversary Gala at Town Hall with Bobby Short, Julie Wilson and Andrea Marcovicci.
