“Scene Last Night: Herbert Allison, Dale Chihuly’s Venice”

World-renowned artist Dale Chihuly received The Institute of International Education’s (IIE) Fritz Redlich Alumni Award in recognition of his distinguished career in creating art across many different cultures.

On hand to honor him at the institute’s “Opening Minds to the World” gala benefit was Terhi Lintukangas, an Actors Studio Drama School MFA candidate and Fulbright fellow from Finland. IIE administers exchange programs, including the Fulbright.

At the IIE  awards gala on October 4th at New York’s Cipriani Wall Street, reports there were more than 400 business, education, government, foundation and policy leaders … plus 15 exceptional student-guests including Actors Studio Drama School MFA candidate Terhi Lintukangas, a Fulbright fellow from Finland who has performed and taught puppet theater. 

“It was a good opportunity to talk about my studies at Pace to the top people of many fields,” said Lintukangas, whose goal is to become a well-rounded theater artist.
