“Manipulation here is very possible,” said Darren R. Hayes, chairman of the computer information systems department at Pace University in New York. “We are seeing many more, highly skilled political attacks.”
In that vein, Hayes pointed to cyberattacks by the group Anonymous, which have gotten more sophisticated. The hackers recently issued a warning that we should expect more — and nastier — from it in 2012.
