The Journal News: Greenburgh panel recommends paid fire districts share services, administrators

A Journal News report noted slow progress toward a longstanding crusade by Pace University’s Edwin G. Michaelian Institute toward the consolidation of municipal services.

A June 2009 report commissioned by the Westchester Career Fire Chiefs Association and conducted by Pace University’s Edwin G. Michaelian Institute for Public Policy and Management, recommended the consolidation of 10 fire departments in central and southern Westchester, including the Greenburgh districts. Greenburgh is making moves in that direction.
