“The intrusion level of the federal government is concerning. The Board of Directors of these companies are responsible for pay, not the government,” James says.
James says, however, that gathering the information wouldn’t be a costly burden, but that the resistance by companies to do is more about the need to keep such information about pay with the Boards of companies.
