“President Obama needs to send a clear message that sequestration must not happen on his watch. He’s got to seize the bully pulpit and make it clear to the nation and his Congressional allies that America’s interests count first and foremost. Republican Congressional leaders and members have to stand up to their own sources of money and votes and risk primary challenges on the far right,”  writes Philip G. Cohen, professor, Pace University’s Lubin School of Business.
