New York Law Journal: “Parity on the Bench Remains Elusive for Women Judges”

. . . In New York, women made up 30.9 percent of the state’s 1,332 judges, the 11th highest percentage in the country. Women are 31.6 percent of state and 25.9 percent of federal judges. Those figures were unchanged from 2011.

As the numbers were being released, some New York judges were participating in a “Summer Justice Academy for Young Women” at Pace University School of Law.

The program is sponsored by Pace Law School and the New York Chapter of the National Association of Women Judges.
