Pace University’s senior vice president and chief administrative officer has been promoted to senior administrative officer, the university announced Friday.
According to a press release, Pace President Stephen J. Friedman has appointed William J. McGrath senior administrative officer for the Westchester campuses—which currently include undergraduate programs in Pleasantville, student housing and administrative offices in Briarcliff Manor and graduate programs in White Plains.
McGrath, a Hartsdale resident, will continue in his former roles as well. He is currently spearheading the master site plan project for the campuses, which includes selling the Briarcliff Manor campus and major upgrades in Pleasantville.
As senior administrative officer, McGrath “will coordinate all the administrative units responsible for nonacademic activities for Pace in Westchester,” according to the press release.
McGrath has been at Pace since 2007. He formerly worked for Con Edison of New York. He serves on the Business Council of Westchester Board of Directors and on the Health Care task force for the Westchester County Association. He earned a Master’s of Business Administration from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from the City University of New York and completed the Institute for Educational Management at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.
