WABC TV: Wikipedia’s Protest of SOPA

On January 18, 2012, Wikipedia blacked out their site in a one-day protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). WABC TV called upon Li-Chiou Chen, Ph. D., PhD. Associate Professor of Information Technology at Pace University, to weigh in on the proposed legislation.

On January 18, 2012, Wikipedia blacked out their site in a one-day protest of the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). According to the website, 162 million people viewed the protest page which drew supporters that “shut down Congress’s switchboards and melted their servers.”

WABC TV called upon Seidenberg professor Li-Chiou Chen, Ph. D., to weigh in on the proposed legislation.
